Feudo Montoni Catarratto del Masso 2024

The Catarratto del Masso is the white that puts this estate on the map. The vineyard sits at high altitude in central Sicily, protected by centuries-old durum wheat fields that act as a natural barrier creating what the family calls "an island within an island." The soil is rocky sand laced with iron, which gives the wine its characteristic freshness and mineral edge. The vines are 55 years old, grafted by hand onto wild plants, and farmed entirely without synthetic intervention.

In the glass it's precise and alive; orange blossom and bay leaf on the nose, Sicilian lemon and pink grapefruit giving way to a fresh, persistent palate that finishes long with notes of almond. Silky in texture but with a contrasting salty, stony mineral thread running through it that keeps every sip honest.
