Jurtschitsch Mon Rouge 2024

Alwin and Stefanie Jurtschitsch have reinterpreted one of Austria's most prestigious estates around a simple set of principles: biodynamic farming, healthy soils, and minimal intervention in the cellar. The Mon Rouge is their house blend, Zweigelt, Pinot Noir, and St. Laurent, vinified with whole clusters into a light, fruity red that drinks more like a chilled white than anything brooding or heavy. Brief skin contact and 18 months in neutral wood give it a silky, fine grained tannin structure with bright red fruit and just enough tension to keep it interesting. Serve it cold. Drink it fast.
