André Hueston Mack honed his palate as a sommelier at Thomas Keller's French Laundry and Per Se before founding Maison Noir. 50% fermented in stainless steel, 50% in new oak, rested eight months in barrel before bottling. Black cherry, ripe raspberry, and crushed cranberry on the nose, layered with forest floor, fresh thyme, and a touch of cocoa powder, supple and silky on the palate, with juicy red fruit, refreshing acidity, and a smooth, lingering finish. Oregon Pinot for everyone.
